Recap: February 2020 Expedition

Goats, Chickens, and Clothes

The first 70 chickens were given to the students at the Kality Center. With the success of the fundraiser, there was enough to purchase that many again and distribute to other locations.

Gindo, Guelele, and Alemgena received 2 goats each to be used for student meals. Halecu received 5 goats as part of a small livestock business initiative for families. Chicken deliveries were just the first of many, and many more goat deliveries are to be made!

Scholarship Awards Night

We held a Scholarship Student Appreciation Night and invited all the students who were currently enrolled in the Scholarship Program (technical, vocational, and post-secondary school students) to join us for an evening of fun and socialization.

During the event, we presented this year's Manji-Burkhardt Awards to the winners of the scholarship.

Two students received cash scholarships, and two others were given new laptop computers to use for their school work. This annual scholarship honours some of our best and most hardworking students.
